about me

Me and my little my Emma Sue

Specializing in Graphic Design and Printing Service. My design services range from business marketing material, logos, business cards, party invitations & coordinating decor, printable art, and printing service.

In 2013 my business venture started off with Plagiocephaly helmet bows for my daughter Emma Sue. Emma Sue was born with congenital torticollis in her neck which lead to her head being flat. She had to wear a helmet for 23 hours a day to help round her head and go through lots of therapy for her neck. When we got the helmet I was sad I wasn't able to put cute little bows on her head and came up with velcro bows that I could put as an accessory on the helmet. Everywhere we went people asked about Emma's helmet bows. I decided I had to share my bow idea and that is how my little business began on Etsy. As for the name Emma Sue Bow-tique, Emma Sue my daughter, and Bow-tique, well because it was a bow shop. However, Minnie Mouse Bow-toons was my daughter's favorite to watch on Disney Channel. So there you go, Emma Sue Bow-tique it was.

In 2014 when Emma's first birthday rolled around I was so inspired by all the shops on Etsy selling birthday decorations and invitations. Intrigued, I started designing like crazy and adding invitations and signs to my Etsy shop. It became an instant success within a few short months. My stores focus had changed gears and I started selling digital designs and printing service in addition to the little helmet bows. The shop name had to remain, it was those little bows on my daughters helmet that lead me to Etsy which has now turned into my full-time career as a Graphic Designer. I said goodbye to a 12 year career in Commercial & Residential Real Estate because I knew I had found my true calling and purpose that God blessed me with.

In 2018-2019,  I mentored and coached numerous new business owners on how to start an Etsy shop and expand their local sales. I was the team leader of our local Etsy Shop Team and organized a team consisting of 23 local Etsy shops, all selling a variety of items.  I opened and managed an Etsy pop-up shop located at Emma Sue Bow-tique's old office location in Bullhead City, AZ where each Etsy shop sold their items in store.

In 2020, I ventured off saying goodbye to Etsy and started focusing on building my own website. Emma Sue Bowtique was in the top 1% of sellers on Etsy with over 36K sales and 5,200+ customer 5-star reviews. I had so much success on Etsy and am forever thankful to the faithful clients I met through that platform. However, I knew it was time to grow and start selling on my own site. I also am a Pro Silver Designer on the Zazzle Marketplace specializing in Invitation design, and also on Fiverr Marketplace specializing in Logo Design as a Freelance Designer. I have learned never to put all my eggs in one basket and as a designer, why not sell on as many platforms as possible.

If you got this far into my little story, thank you for taking the time to read it and get to know me a little bit. I absolutely love what I do and am so thankful God directed me down this path of entrepreneurship.
